What do you think of the rumor that the character of Laura is coming back. I read on the internet that there is a really good chance she is. I personally love Luke and Laura and would love her back on the show but since she had a nervous breakdown is she going to miraciously be okay like Carly was? How will that play into the Nikolas/Helena and his son storyline? Just wondering....

I love General Hospital. I love to watch Laura and Luke and their various escapades. I can't even imagine how the storyline will change to redefine Laura as a grandmother. Well, there are so many young grandmothers now. There is the grownup "Lulu." Nikolas with a new son needs his mother with all of her wits pretty much intact. Helena should soften because of the new baby. Don't you just love to hate Helena? Perhaps she will fool us and behave. I guess that we will just have to wait and see. It will be an exciting moment for all of us viewers. I personally thought that Laura was never coming back to the show. The way that things are happening everyday in "real" life, I am glad to enter the fantasy world. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

She is coming back for a short stint to celebrate her and lukes anniversary.
"Actress Genie Francis, General Hospital's Laura, will be returning for the 25th anniversary of the soap opera's most watched show - that is, the wedding of Luke and Laura in November of 1931. 30 million people tuned in to watch Laura become Mrs. Spencer.....
Francis was 14 when she first came on the scene as Laura. She went on to appear on the soap from 1976-1981, 1983-1984, and 1993 to 2002.
The character has been catatonic and institutionalized since killing Rick Webber, her stepfather. Luke will be visiting Laura at Shadybrook and thus, the soap opera will set up her return.
Francis stated that she is looking forward to repeating her role.
There are no confirmed dates for Laura's appearances, but she will probably appear on the show in October and stay through November 16, 2006.

i loved the gh show during the luke and laura period. i will be watching. but i am not a fan due to the general sopranos theme. I hope that they (the writers) can be realistic and not make the fans feel like dummies. i hope that the breakdown can be addressed

Haven't heard she was coming back. It's probably just re-runs of their wedding or something. But then again you never know in soap world! Anything could happen.

I don't see how she could come back, I thought at one point they said she had alzheimers????Unless they have found a cure I have not heard about.
