He's still kicking. A message from him to his fans on his website:

Hello Gang,

I'm having a leisurely afternoon, a good time for a Branson update.

The past few weeks have been an exciting journey as most of the final bits and pieces of technical gear have been added and as we say, 'tweaked.' The sound and lighting systems in this beautiful facility are truly state of the art and there is not a bad seat in the theater. We are waiting for one more video screen to arrive from China to compliment the two that are already in place.

The show is GREAT...don't know how else to say it!!! The video production features archival Bandstand images, as well as our personal videos, from our early years on the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars tours. My daughter Jennifer designed the 'lively' show identity images and her husband, son-in-law, BJ Whittet produced the wonderful video that selectively runs through out the show. Terrific stuff...fun and often funny memories..from the 'big hair' days. Jeff, as the show producer, spent many preproduction months assembling material and giving it order and Tommy is in charge of all of the on site production. The band...Jeff, Tommy, Ar Stevens and Jeff Olson, with their great energy, set the rock n roll table for a terrific evening.

As for us ex-teenagers; Fabian, Brian Hyland, Chris Montez, The Chiffons, and me...we're all having a ball! We have all worked together hundreds of times over the years but never in a production such as this. The show has generated great crowds, lots of baby boomers, or as Fabian would say..."Seniors Gone Wild"!

Thanks for 'all' your support
Bobby Vee

PS: If you're thinking about coming to Branson and looking for information...everything you'll need to know about show dates and times is available on our web site. And now...off to Australia and the Gold Coast!

Bobby Vee appeared in several British and American motion pictures as well as the Scopitone series of early film-and-music recordings, which predicted the rise of rock music videos. Vee is still active and touring internationally as a performer as of 2006. His sons and daughter have shown much interest in his music career and legacy.
