Nope, not quite. sqrt(x^4*y^3) = x^2 * sqrt(y^3) = x^2 * y^(3/2)

square root of x^4y^3 is |x^4y^(3/2)|
I'm reading this as: x to the (4y to the 3). Looks like you guys are reading it as (x^4)(y^3)

sqrt(x^4y^3)

Think of it like this

sqrt(x^4) * sqrt(y^3)
(x^4)^(1/2) * (y^3)^(1/2)
x^(4 * (1/2)) * y^(3 * (1/2))
x^2 * (y^2 * y^(1/2))

ANS : (x^2y)sqrt(y)

--------------------------------------

x^2 + 5x + 2 = 0
x = (-b ± sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/2a
x = (-5 ± sqrt(5^2 - 4(1)(2)))/2(1)
x = (-5 ± sqrt(25 - 8))/2
ANS : x = (-5 ± sqrt(17))/2

Only if it were x^2 + 5x - 2

------------------------------------------------------

(x^4 + x^2 - 80)/(x + 3)

-3 | 1 0 1 0 | -80
| -3 9 -30 | 90
-----------------------------
| 1 -3 10 -30 | 10

ANS :
x^3 - 3x^2 + 10x - 30 R 10 or x^3 - 3x^2 + 10x - 30 + (10/(x + 3))

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(9 - b^2)/(b^2 - b - 6)
(-b^2 + 9)/(b^2 - b - 6)
-(b^2 - 9)/(b^2 - b - 6)
-((b - 3)(b + 3))/((b - 3)(b + 2))
ANS : -(b + 3)/(b + 2)

----------------------------------------------

4(x + 2) - 3x = x - 6
4x + 8 - 3x = x - 6
x + 8 = x - 6
0x = -14
x = (-14/0)
x = undefined

square root of x^4y^3 equals square root of x^4 times square root of y^3.
square root of x^4 is x^2
square root of y^3 is y^1.5 (y times square root of y)
So answer is x^2y^1.5
