Scientists have confirmed that the sun is at the peak of it's solar flare cycle, which is sending tremendous amounts of ultrviolet rays to the Earth. It's so strong, in fact, that the Sun's magnetic poles have actually reversed. They've also determined that mars and Jupiter are experiencing global warming and at the same proportions.
Another thing they began saying a few months ago is that volcanoes spill out more Greenhouse gasses in one day of eruption than all of humanity does in 10 years. They say that if the greenhouse gasses were affecting the climate, we'd have never had an iceage.
They also say that while the Northpole icebergs are melting, Antarctica is freezing at the same rate. It's almost as if the Tropic rings are moving further north due to the activity of the sun. They did say that the Ozone layer has begun closing since we banned CFC's, but there's no evidence that it was BECAUSE we banned them.
Do you still believe that we could do anything? or is it politics

You're right about the 2001 peak. But it takes several years for the solar wind to have a large scale effect on the planet. mars started one year after we did, and jupiter one year and a half after that. And I was talking about the Sun's magnetic poles not the Earth's.
For those who say "if I want to believe that crap" how do you explain that Jupiter and Mars are experiencint the same proportional warming effect that we are? Or are you just taking Tree-huggers' words over the scientists who fear losing their jobs if they go against the EPA?

I don't think a lot of people read this. It is interesting information. I had to take a tree hugger science last year and one of the things the professor admitted to is that another one of the destructive gases to the ozone that they beleive is causing the global warming is ethanol, and uria, which are both caused by natural body occurances, the ethonal comes from Pooh, while the uria comes from Urine. Not just human but animal as well. I personally don't know, but am refreshed to see another prospective on the whole thing. Now they can prove all of it, inclucding the CFC part Maybe we can all use Aqua Net again.

Our climate does have a natural cycle, and we know that global warming and ice ages have occurred before our industrial age, but I do believe that we have accelerated the process by burning fossil fuels. We might be able to slow the process by using alternative energy sources, but I don't think we can stop it.
As for the rest of your facts:
The next maximum solar flare cycle should be in 2011 or 2012. It's on an 11 year cycle, and the last maximum was in 2000.
The magnetic pole hasn't reversed, it's just shifted. Instead of magnetic north being over Alaska/Canada, it's moving toward Russia. But this is also a natural phenomenon.

If you actually want to believe all that crap go ahead but all that's doing is giving us another excuse to not do anything. We dump hundreds of millions of tons of crap into the atmosphere every year, each and every year, and on top of that we can't cut down the one thing that can clean some of that garbage out of the air seemingly fast enough, namely trees and we still have the nerve to wonder if all that is or isn't having any effect, give me a break. The other things probably contribute but it's a small percentage
compared to what we do, and all everyone does is look for
another scapegoat rather than look in the mirror where the problem really is.

Some valid points on natures natural cycles. However most of the past cycles have occurred when the human population was much lower than it is now.So between natural(volcano's, and sun flares etc.) and emissions from humans things(cars, manufacturing, etc) and cutting down trees which are natures cleaners we have a more severe problem than we have every had. I do think that we have to at least try to do as much as we, as humans, can to help Mother Nature take care of our home.

I say ride it out. I don't believe in human influenced climate change. I believe it is political to keep us focused on something besides real issues, like questioning why politicians ( on both sides) help themselves and do nothing to help our country.
Look up the history of eugenics. Same thing.

citizens can definately help. we can use energy efficient light bulbs, they use less energy and therefore emit less toxins. we can use cars that run on battery more so then gas, if u want a specific type of car, check how much it uses up the gas. we can always try to reduce our amount of garbage, and our electricity usage. just all of the things you learn in school about recycling and turning off lights when your done, they all help.
