Fun, Quirky Friends in Boulder, CO?

I need some suggestions on how I can go about finding friends in a new state. I'm 31, married, 1 child, and miss my few good friends desperately. We keep in touch, but it's just not the same. Any ideas?

Go to a town meeting! Or places that peak your interest,chances are there will be someone else there that will enjoy your company. Also, go meet some neighbors and introduce yourself.
