Logical levels of abstraction and specification exist in the realms of the social, mental and physical -> so yes such concepts are a smothering by politically minded people, but also concepts are maintained by those without time to consider such things or minds...... its also worth stating that biological, psychological and social differences do exist and are studied by psychologists, neurologists, sociologists and the like -> however these studies are usually stopped in this politically crazy era in order to stop 'socially sensititve implications' occuring and thus causing mindless racisism and homophobia - obviously we cant go into every element but i think these are key concepts

I think that a lot of racial issues pile down to a lack of understanding of others rather than racial hatred. I guess why white people may be seen as the main source may be as people were led to believe that this is a white mans land.
Everybody at one point could and possibly will be deemed as racist whether it be from another or self-conciously.
Many people make comments like 'Black monkey' or 'White trash' etc (no ofence people) in momments of anger/frustration or the typical relating to what you see in someones colour.
Racism is a strong issue and a powerful term. What one man/women see's as racist is what the next man/women see's as just words and one individuals actions. I think to truelly be caught up in Racism is an eye opener and an extremly disturbing conflict between racism and common knowledge.
(i.e being refurred to as something or apart of a group of people/race, for example classing a race purely based on what they see in the media/TV etc)
I hope this makes some sense, this is a very good question and shall enjoy reading everyones views also.

Heck no racism is not only found in white people. Ever met Louis Farahkhan? I think some of the things he says about Jews are very racist. There was a black muslim in NYC who said some very racist comments on a college campus. So no racism can be found in anyone.

For me the key concept about racism is the issue of power imbalance. ie True racism only comes from a position of power.
If you accept this then you have to accept that most racism is exhibited by whites , however for example where Sadam persecuted the Kurds (from a position of power) then this was racist too.
conversely the person on the other side of the power imbalance probably is not , or is at least not as much, racist when making derogatory comments etc about their oppressor.
I speak as a white, Irish male so have power in the former but little in the latter.

You asked 7 questions.. i hope you got the points deducted like the rest of us...lol
Racism exists more amongst blacks because they tend to perpetuate a tribal mentality even in 2006. White people have moved away from it for quite some time now and never really had that sort of bitter rivalry. Don't ask me why.
Look what happened in all the African countries after the whites left - mass slaughter, coups up the yingyang, white people murdered and their houses burnt..

Racism is a disease, it is spread through generations of familys who cannot accept that there is only 1 race the human race. This is also true of homophobia, i personally don't have a problems with gays. People should be what they want to be and not have to conform to a steriotype that society labels them with.

NO
Here in Arkansas, the white people hate the blacks, and the black people hate whites. It is very mutual racism here. I hate racists of all forms, however, so you can imagine how well I fit in.
Just to break your stereotypes, ive seen a BLACK NAZI with swastikas tatoo'ed on his bald head and everything.
Its most common in white people though, simply because there are more white people in the world, and skinhead brainwashin extends to every continent.

No, where i live it is the African Americans that are racists. I have never been anywhere in my travels of the world where so many AA's are racists. It is sad because I have two small children and I am trying to teach them to grow up and appreciate all people no matter what their skin color or ethnicity is. I find it truly sad! I have always embraced others for who they are, but I find it increasingly difficult here. I think it just maybe is uneducated individuals that choose ignorance over loving one another.

Racism (not to be confuced with prejudice) is when one race attempts to dominate another. So at this point in history only white people are racist. The rest of us are prejudice

Some of the most racist people I have come across were Black Africans against West Indians. Hindus Vs. Moslems can be even worse. Scots Vs. English worse still and some Irish Vs. English very bad. The Welsh Vs. The World on a Saturday night after too many pints................
