Are you referring to Bensonhurst? I used to be great. A very safe neighborhood and lots of great italian food. The Other day, I drove on 18th av, the heart of Bensonhurst, and I was brokenhearted. My favorite Italian caffe, Mille Luci, is now Dunkin donuts.

The neighborhood now has a lot of Chinese and Russians with a handful of the old time italians remaining. Still seems safe, but the original flavor is gone. Guess it's true you can never go home again

very italian american. most of the people in the neighborhood do not venture out of their surroundings....even to go to manhattan. which breeds a very ignorant and racist community.

of course not all of the people are like that.
