Going to study in France. Anything I should know/bring/prepare/take before i go?

This October , I'm moving to France (either Rouen or Tours) for 6 years (ofcourse there will be holidays like 2 months in my home country) to study French. Any advice to prepare for my stay?!

Patience. The French have a very relaxed relationship with time.
