I think he still might be good. Dumbledore might have had everything planned....it remains to be seen

After reading the books (a few times, i admit), I would conclude there's something like a 50/50 chance on the whole thing. Which is why I'm prone to believe that he is neither on the good side nor the bad side: He's on his own side! He's gonna play both sides until he gets a clear shot of which will be victorious at the end. But he really is an evil bastard at heart. I mean seriously....what kind of 30-something-year-old jerk treats a 16-year-old kid so terribly, and all because he hated his father? Harry didn't even know his father for pete's sake! Maybe Snape has a mental problem.

Furthermore...I think he was dishonest to Dumbledore about the thing with the Potters'....like Dumbledore said he thought telling Voldemort about the prophesy (that ultimately lead to their deaths) was one of the biggest regrets of his life, which is a huge lie. How can you believe that with how Snape treats Harry in school? Also, in book 3, don't you think Snape would have told Dumbledore that Sirius Black WAS NOT a Death Eater and that Peter Pettigrew was? Nope, because he hated Sirius too. And Dumbledore should know that Snape would have known that information.

Probaby on the good side because the main fact is that Dumbledore trusted him enough to give him the responsibilty of teaching young minds...this was a place where he could have shown his true loyalty to Voldermort by turning those he taught against Dumbledore yet he doesnt...but really all that matters for him to be considerd on the good side is the fact that Dumbledore trusted him and being the wise and revered wizard that Dumbledore is it must have been pretty tough to win his confidence especially for someone coming from the dark side in the first place.

Snape is on the good side. He however wants to protect his own butt by keeping Voldermort believing that he is trying to help him. There are too many death eaters around Hogwarts for him to be percieved as good at such a critical time. When the time is right however, we will see Snape's true colors shine through.

the good side cuz in the 6th book they're teaching how to do spells without saying a word just thinking it and that's why i think dumbledore isn't dead because in the 4th book cedric dies on the spot the movie confuses because he's thrown backwards up into the air like dumbledore in the 6th book the curse in the book just says that the person will fall flat to the ground and be dead before they hit the ground Snape is just playing his role as a double agent again just like he had when voldemort had been in power.

I think that he is on the good side. I agree that there was more going on between Dumbledore and Snape on that tower that met the eye. I think in the long run, you will find out that he is a tragic hero!

I'm not sure. Maybe bad because he was a death eater (he still has the Dark Mark) but he may be on the good side now. After all, he is the potions master. I think he really switched sides. So, I would say the good side.

Against Voldemort, but not necessarily for Dumbledore (obviously). Tho' I still think there was more going on up on the tower than Rowling has let on.

Even after he has killed Dumbledore he lessened Harry. Dumbledore is dead but Snape had to kill him, because of the curse and because Dumbledore wonted it from him.
