I have just done two tests (both fortel ultra) and the first was hardly visible, and the second is a lot clearer, yet still faint.

You should be able to see the line very faintly, when not pregnant. If you want to see what it looks like when you're not pregnant, have a guy do a test. The line should be pretty distinct and dark if you're pregnant. Tests are quite sensitive, and they simply react or not.. it doesn't get much darker once you have enough pregnancy hormone in your system to get a positive reading at all.

If you're really not sure, eat healthy and act like you're pregnant, just in case, and get one of those with the digital readout, or go see a doctor.

As long as you check the results within the first 10 minutes and the "control line" is clear and dark (not faint like the other one), any line at all in the test window most likely means you are pregnant. I've had 4 babies, and even when the lines were faint, I was pregnant. I usually did more than one test with each pregnancy, and the farther along I was, the darker the line got. I suggest waiting a few days (or a week, if you can stand the wait), and do another test. At that point, you will have more HCG in your urine, and the line will be darker. If you can't wait, get a blood test -- those are accurate earlier in the pregnancy.

The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

RETEST THIS TIME USE FIRST MORNING URINE BUT MOST LIKELY YOU ARE PREGNANT IF YOU READ THE RESULTS WITHIN (BEFORE) 10 MINUTES CAUSE AFTER THAT IT COULD BE A EVAPORATION LINE AND THAT WOULD BE A FALSE POSITIVE.

gOOD LUCK
