I don't think either of those

I never could place Hermione as a villain in any light. She is tenacious and brilliant. She definitely is and would continue to be, a force to contend with. I hope that Hermione will not die in the final book. As it is, I am trying to determine through various synopses whether or not to read certain books. If there is some deep depression slated as the entire story, I just won't read any book. There are so many cheerful and uplifting "reads" out there. Why should I plug into any disastrous episodes that will keep me upset? When a friend or acquaintance of mine has lost a loved one, I send them a cheery card. I want to set an uplifting mood which tells them that I care and will be there for them. It is predicted that up to 7 days after the loss of a loved one, people will no longer render their condolences. After that, you generally hear no more about it. I don't speak of the deceased anymore. I do whatever I can to make that person feel fine. This means that I have to check up on them intermittently. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

Hermione could NEVER be a villian. Sure, she knows just about every spell in the book, but she could never use them for evil. She is way to nice. I don't think she will die either. She can protect herself. Plus, she has protection from Harry and Ron.

If she were a villan she'd make a great one considering she knows just about every spell in the book in the HP series. It's very possible that Voldermort could take control of her mind and get her to kill some other people in the story but it's rather unlikely even though it is a possibility.

If she went to "the dark side" she would be formidable. But it ain't gonna happen. I expect that several familiar characters will buy it in Book 7, but if Rowling kills off any of the "Big Three," she'll be facing a lynch mob.

Well Hermione has smarts, but Voldemort has smarts and experience. You dont' become a dark lord overnight.

I think she will die, yes.

i've never thought of her that way - but yeah, she'd be a kick-*** villain. totally dangerous and probably a little crazy (you know that happens sometimes to people who are too smart for their own good.) maybe she doesn't sleep for two weeks studying for NEWTs and just cracks. Or her unrequited affection for Ron finally erupts into a vicious sectum sempra, or... well, anyway.

and no i don't think she's going to die, but i have a feeling one of the weasleys will. there are just so many of them...
