I feel there is always a scientific explanation for every thing.

Probably it is human nature to try to find an explanation for everything. Before the establishment of science the most simple explanation was that since things such as fire, lightning natural phenomena were beyond human abilities, they were the work of something superior-the gods. So I guess it is partly a remrant from those times
Also I think it is in human nature to believe in something superior, because it fuels hope. Finding "evidence" for the existence of such a power reassures you that your hope is not in vain.

If its unexplainable than who should deserve the credit besides God?

because people say everything runs from the god's ways. No matter what happens people give credit to their creator.. Not themselves
