Bigger jeans?

2006-06-29 07:56:51 · answer #1 · answered by eboss_sweeps 2 · 1 1

Try putting a stitch in the top of the zip and just try pulling them on instead. As for all those people telling you to get bigger jeans have you ever thought that maybe the catch that holds the zip up might have snapped its happened to me before so don't even go there you horrible lot. The person that answered this is probably a perfect size with perfectly fitting jeans so there [blows raspberry]

Worn out zip - used to happen to me (when I was thin). The little metal spur on the puller (don't know the technical term) gets rounded and stops locking the zip like it's meant to. Get a new zip fitted. Or get new jeans. Or get button fly. Given the life of a pair of jeans, fixing the zip probably isn't worth it.

This has happened to me when I gained a bit of weight, so maybe the jean is just that little bit too small? Otherwise its just not a good quality zip.
Also, the little gadget that you pull on - put it DOWN - So that its hanging and not standing up - once you've pulled the zipper closed though.

you know the round bit on a keyring? Attach it to your zip and when you fasten your button fasten the loop bit off the keyring under it. (that is if you mean the zip keeps falling down) This is also useful for people with problems using zips if they can't use their hands properly

Buying Jeans with buttons instead

Tie a small piece of rope or wire around the zipper. Make a circle that can be attached to the button that holds your jeans. That makes it possible to tie and untie your zipper to the button of your jeans.

Yep, it sounds like you may want to get a larger size.

Also, make sure that after you zip them up, you push the little zipper pull down flat, which should lock it in place, unless it's defective.

Good Luck!

I know someone who had the same problem , with this one pair ofo jeans, it may be the kind of jeans you are buying, either that or maybe they are a little too tight.
