medicine is no always right. In november of 2003 i thought i waspregant even though i had a period. i went in Dec around the 6 and did a pregnancy test ( blood) and nothing then i went again when i misses my period around dec 27th and still negative then in January i started to get sick and i went in again about the 15th and sure enough i was 9 weeks pregnant. Some people hormones take awhile to built up so you could come out negative and be positive,,,,, with my second child i had a period for 4 month of my pregnancy and the 5th month misses went in and low and behold i was 25 week pregnant and could feel my baby ( i thought it was gas bubbles in my tummy) ...

On May 22, 2006 - I went to have my physical (Gyn) and I had a urine and blood test done for a pregnancy test, they both were negative and I was sent to have a mammogram.. By this time, my period was not late as it was due on the 31st of May. I went to have the mammogram done and when I was in the x-ray room, I simply had this "funny" "uncomfortable" feeling and told the technician that I needed to reschedule because I was not feeling well.. I felt nothing, but simply decided to wait until after my period arrived. By coincidence, I had my physical with my internal doctor scheduled for May 31st, 2006 - a urine sample was taken and the next day I received a phone call that I was pregnant... They did another blood work and I am now two months pregnant... People claim that blood work results are accurate after theee 7th or 10th day after conception, and this was not true, because when I went on the 22nd, I was already 31/2 weeks, and of course, my period never showed and till this day I have NO symptoms at all... I just had my first sonogram and my baby is perfectly normal and healthy... The doctor explained that there are times when your body does not have enough hcg hormone which is the pregnancy hormone for any test to detect and therefore, you must wait at least until you are four to six weeks pregnant or have a missed period to be more certain...

I miscarried last September when I was 5 months pregnant and my husband I have been trying to get pregnant ever since it was healthy to start trying again. It has been 38 days since the start of my last MC and I'm 20 days past ovulation and still no period. I consistently start my period between 28 and 30 days after my last MC. I have taken 2 at home tests and both showed negative and yesterday I went for a blood test and it too showed up negative. I'm still holding out hope! I'll keep you posted. I have been sharing with my sister on the issue and she said that she tested negative until she was 2 1/2 months pregnant and she had a healthy baby girl in April....so who knows. I know I don't have the most scientific answers but at least I can relate. Good Luck!

I never been nor no anyone that that's happen to, but I do know, that test aren't always perfect. Like people, they are going to be wrong once in a while. And in some cases, who ever looked at the blood test, may have read the results wrong, that has happened with other medical test. I would assume it could be the same in this case.

A blood test is 100% accurate. If the blood test came out negative, then you are not pregnant.
