I like Gavin also, Alex is another favorite as was Adam, but I do have a particular soft spot for Preston. My husband chose the name Preston for our son over 20 years ago, and although I would not have chosen it at the time, the name has come to mean a good deal to me. Our little son didn't care for it until he found out a baseball player had the same name. Then it became cool in his eyes. Also, occasionally he would meet someone else with that name and they would chat for a few minutes(at first it was Pres meeting teens or twenty somethings that shared the name and told him it was cool to be a Preston, later it was my son reaching out and sharing how he liked the name) I have found that Prestons are caring good people. Just this past week I discovered that my 3rd great-grandfather's name was Preston. No one in our family knew, but I think someone was whispering in my husband's ear 20 years ago. Preston is a strong healthy man with a big heart and an adventurous spirit.

Gavin is good. Some times changing the spelling of a more common name helps. I named my son Lukas. I also like:
Shane
Drew
Trevin
Good luck...it's not easy.

Brendon, Quinn, Tendaji (Ten-da-gee, it's African) are just a few off the top of my head. www.babynamesworld.com is a good website. You can search names by gender, origin, starting letter and number of charcters in the name.
Example:
Gavin
Gender: male
Origin: Welsh
Meaning: white hawk
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Eoghan - is Irish, and pronounced just like Owen. Although, he will go through life with people mis-pronouncing it. (it's my middle name, trust me). Masculine, just difficult to pronounce. Of course, rather than Eoghan/Ewan/Ioan (all more or less same pronounciation, which are Irish/Scottish/Welsh, respectively) you could just pick Owen. Not really common in the States.

I have two sons one who is 8 his name is Dylan and I have 16 week old son who's name is Nolan. Whatever you choose make sure you really like the sound of it and don't make it too hard for everyone to spell.

The boy (man) has to live with his name. Don't name him an off-the-wall name. Name him something hard, direct, and MASCULINE. Joe, Max, Rod, Sam, Pete, Bud, Clay.

I have two boys who both have unique masculine names...that I'll share with you if you contact me privately. I know it may seem wierd, but I'd like to keep them unique.
I forgot the one's I like, but haven't used yet Callum and Peyton(could be a girl's too),

My husband is Venezuelan, so we are looking at hispanic names... I think we'll go with Andres, though I like Pablo because Pablo Neruda is one of my favorite poets.
