I find it very uninspiring and disappointing.
It is a collage of images that could stand for almost anything (except the Jules Rimet trophy in the bottom field) and the main colour is white, which is not very striking. The pictures of faces are very basic and stylised, and they look like the kind of drawing a five-year-old child could do with crayons.
I do not know who is actually the designer, and if the responsibility for the logo lies with FIFA, with the German Football Association (DFB) or with the organising committee. But whoever it is deserves the comment: "Could have done better".

The world cup logo is the sign of the people laughing and havin fun enjoying the football on show. The best ever world cup logo in my book.
