in my opinion, considering the fact that Alaska isn't a threat for you, the subsequent maximum eye-catching mix of mountains and ocean interior the U. S. is in Washington state. This incorporates surprisingly Puget Sound beginning around Seattle and going north. There are the Olympic Mountains, Mount Baker, the North Cascades, and Mt. Ranier that can all be seen together with the water from Puget Sound. From the San Juan Islands you will discover Mt. Baker and the Olympics, the two one among that are coated with glaciers and snow all year around (as is Mt. Ranier.) Use the ferry equipment for day journeys on the sound in case you get a threat. in case you desire to be on the sea acceptable, you could circulate to the coast edge of Olympic national Park. Kalalock hotel is a effective place to stay for this if something slightly rustic is on your flavor. climate on maximum of Puget sound is enormously reliable interior the summertime (no longer lots rain, temperature no longer too severe.) on the coast edge you're in all threat to run into some rain. California is often effective (I stay there now) yet you will no longer discover snow-coated mountains close to the coast, in basic terms some hills. that's eye-catching up and down the coast from the Oregon border all the way down to San Diego. The Santa Cruz section is amazingly effective. in addition, the Oregon coast is eye-catching and rugged in many spots yet no longer so on the threshold of severe mountains.

For summer, I'd say the beach. Although mountains are a really nice get away.

Why not just have them all? Here in california you can see it all and do it all, its the only state that you can be in the desert and then drive a few hours and be way up in the mountains and freeze ur *** off, and drive to the beach to surf all in the same day..Personally if i had to choose just one...hmm i dunno..depends on who youre vacationing with
