Or is there anywhere else I can get help with payments at all?

According to the jobcentre neither me nor my partner are entitled to benefits and we're 1 year too young for tax credits.
It may be as easy to find a job in your little world, but it the real world it is difficult.

Hi, I have been stressed out with financial problems. The cab have financial advisors now. They can advise but they can also help you with a budget plan and write to creditors as well as deal with other things. They are friendle and helpful as well as taking a lot of the stress of you. It even helps that someone will listen and not judge you. Hope this helps. Take care

You can't get help at all. The CAB might help you find a loan or get some of your payments lowered but they really aren't as good as some people say they are. I can't think of anywhere else you can go though. The jobcentre wouldn't help either unless you are on some kind of benefit, even then you will be VERY lucky for them to help. You could see if the CAB would give you advice on finding a job as well. They will be more useful than the jobcentre.
I know you are not entitled to any benefits or anything which makes this so stupid, you are trying and don;t have enough money to live on but because your circumstances don't fit their criteria. Well anyway, I can help you work out your finances but if I see that there is always more going out than coming in and nothing can be changed to accomodate it then you will have to go to the CAB.

I would like to know why some people assume you are "sponging" just because you can't pay bills. I have never owned my own playstation, computer or car and I had plenty of years without the other things. I still struggled to pay the bills. It doesn't help to insult people. It also annoys me when people think it's so easy to get a job. It might be for some people but if there is no work where you live or you don't have the right qualifications for what is available, or even if you do, there is no guarantee that you will be offered a job.

The citizens Advice will do just that, advise. They are unable to give you any more info than you could get from a reasonable amount of research on their website and others. The first thing you need to do is talk to the people you owe, they will useually be more than happy to arrange payment plans as they would rather this than no money at all. If the worst happens and you simply cannot pay then your job centre will be able to arrange pauyment on you behalf which would then be paid back to them in very small weekly amounts.

No, the best place to go first is your biggest sister, then your middle sister, then your Mum, if you can't get the help there, you should then write to each of your bill companies explaining your situation, I'm sure you've got plenty of people who will help you do that.

Why are some people so judgemental, I know Fairy has been looking for a job there for at least two years, she's been for interviews and there has been no joy there, she IS looking for work and doesn't want to spend the rest of her life on benefits, please, if you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

There are low income benefits to raise you up to a government accepted standard of living. But if you cannot pay your water bill then dont, since thelate 90's the utility companies can no longer cut you off (because of human rights!). They still have to supply you if you don't pay, at least the water companies do, not sure about the others.

The best place to go to is the want ads, and they can help you find a job. A second one, if need be. Earn a living like the rest of us, take care of yourself and cut back on expenses if you need to. I spent most of my adult life without such luxuries as a cell phone, a computer, a playstation, a tv, or even a car. Now that I have them, I'd sell them or do whatever it takes to be RESPONSIBLE, rather than go looking to sponge off other people.

Contact you local Food Bank and they will direct you. I know there is funding available through some electric companies themselves but it's based on Need, income, and first come first sever.
The next option is to contact some of your local churches for assistance. You don't have to be a member either.
The local welfare office can also assist you.
The only way to go now is UP.....
Good Luck!

It's a very good place to start. Be very cautious about offers of debt reconciliation loans, cards, all the rest. Do you have an accountant or banker friend? Use him/her.

There's also credit unions, depending on where you live; they are generally charities and can be good at advising you.

The CAB can help you by putting in touch with a debt management company who will hopefully be able to help you sort out and pay your bills. Good luck.
