hmmm firm shake, i'm sorry but ur wrong on the last part of ur statement. the size of the tank has nothing to do with the pressure that comes out. when u fill a water heater up, it heats it and when u call for water it is the force of the water replacing the water in the tank that forces it to the area of demand. if u pipe a tankless with 3/4 and 3/4 out and do the same with a tanked water heater u will get the same amount of pressure.

and u can place the heater, tankless of tanked, 1 ft. from area needed or 40 ft away, u get the same pressure! 3 gals per min.

we have installed 20 tankless in the last 4 yrs.......i own one and everybody loves them. and yes they do save money.....and u never run out of hot water. and u have the same pressure

I beg to differ on a few points. Tankless systems are okay, but I'm not as gushy. They don't cure world hunger.

It is true that a gas appliance will save money on your electric bill. Cannot dispute that. Gas heats more efficently too, so it will increase your gas bill less than it will decrease you electric bill. So you will save money over an electric heater. Will you save money over a gas water tank heater? Depends on how often you use hot water and how big of a tank you are maintaining, etc. My guess --- not much of a savings.

The speed at water coming from a hot water faucet gets hot will NOT CHANGE. That is, unless you install the tankless system closer to where you are performing this test.

If you taking a shower and someone flushes the toilet, you ARE going to feel a temperature change. A tankless system simply doesn't remedy that.

Here's the concerning point: The hot water pressue coming from a tankless system is often less than the pressue from a gas or electric hot water tank. In fact, because of this, some people get two tankless systems and connect them in parallel to overcome the pressure shortage. But by the time you do that, for the extra money, I can't quite figure out the advantage.

Hope this helps.

Hell yes! I have one it's awesome! You never run out of hot water, it saves a ton of money on electricity, and there are no toilet flush/hot water surges in the shower. and it's practiaclly instant, you don't have to wait as long to get hot water out of the faucet. Pressure is exactly the same as the other. GET ONE!!!
