emotions where when I was younger, people tried to get attention but not for "emotions" -- I'm talking about EMO kids. What and why and how did this start? Some depressed kid or what? Is it supposed to be for "look at me - I am sad - help me?" This is a serious question - I just don't understand. I personally don't care HOW anyone dresses . I just want to understand the Emo fad. Anyone out there understand it? I'm not putting them down either.

I first heard about the fad back in February. There's a song entitled "the EMO Song" rolling around, u might start there.
I want to understand too, but i think it is kind of an urban fad.

Well..old school 'Emo' was called Hardcore..class like At The Drive In..they were 'emotional' in the same sense as every other music..Its just mutated into this pathetic, eye-liner wearing, green day loving mess of kids who hate themselves. Sad, sad people..they always seem to be obsessed about being different as well...*sighs*
