Does anybody else hate all these self-serving arrogant celebrities? Why is it they see the need to give us their usually uninformed opinion on all matters? I wish they would just shut up.

Amen man. I agree 100%. I hope they all choke on their own bullshit and die.

You know I agree with you somewhat. I mean a lot of celebs are self centered all they do is care about themselves. But on the other hand you have celebrities that use their popularity to help less fortunate people. Like Bono and Bob Geldof who've worked hard to help countries in Africa and are doing it for real not b/c they want their babies born there and want the attention. These two have campaigned for a long time and have made some great differences to the developing countries. So yeah I agree with you about the stupid celebs but not everyone just cares about themselves.

I dunno, there are a lot of good celebrities who give their money to charity or who make a point not to flaunt it and try to blend. And many of them have proven to be great people. But yes, there are tons of ***hole celebrities out there who just think they own the world. Take Tom Cruise, for instance.

But you know who REALLY bug me? Athletes!

They get millions of dollars a year for throwing some balls around. For doing something that you don't need to go to college for and sometimes don't need to work for. Yes, I understand that a lot of athletes deserve the money they have, but come on!

There are a ton of hardworking people out there that went to school for years, who worked their ***es off to get where they are, and they're paid not even half of what these hot shot sports celebrities are paid. But all an athlete has to do is get spotted by a big shot scout and bam! They're on the fast track to heaven, baby! And not only that, but all that millions of dollars (or quid, or lire, or whatever else there may be) they're making could be spend making the economy better!

For example, Arizona. In 2004, it was 50th on the list of education quality. 50th out of 50! And so what does the government do? They spend millions of dollars on a fancy stadium for the Arizona Cardinals, a team that absolutely SUCKS and that NOBODY cares about! And why? So that more people will come watch games. And in the meantime, school books are grossly outdated and telling us about "current events" that happened in Nixon or Clinton's reign!

But anyway. I digress.

My point was originally that not all celebrities are bad. And not all athletes are bad. But people have a very skewed view nowadays about where money should be sent.

Some of them are good. Take Bono for example, he's a truly amazing person. What other celebrity do you know that's been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? In my opinion, more people should look to him as an example of what to strive for.

The majority of celebrities are okay but the minority let them down.
The problem is that they believe all the hype about themselves in the press. They then begin to think that they really are better than anyone else but they are standing on media lies & will soon suffer a fall. (Pride as we all know comes before a fall).

Lindsay Lohan, justin bieber, and Miley Cyrus. i visit't stand Lindsay because she somewhat had skills and he or she messed it up with drugs justin bieber because he sounds like a lady, i visit't stand him making a music, and that i do not get how he so time-honored, he looks and sounds like a 10 12 months previous and 16 12 months previous women are calling him "pleasing"? Miley Cyrus because she is meant to be a position type, once you sign up for disney try to be no longer racy, you're a position type for 5 to twelve 12 months olds, plus i visit't stand her voice

I feel the same way about some of them. Like Tom Cruise. I'm pretty fed up with him now. I don't care if he's a scientologist, but why does he have to push it on other people. Especially his kids. And Britney Spears with her bad parenting skills. Lol. Do you have one you are specifically complaining about? :)

society is broken. the value system is backwards. you know you live in a crazy world where the poor pay the rich to entertain them. before mass media, people entertained at the whim of their audience. now, the brain dead masses value a $50 trip to the movies or a $120 pair of goomba sneakers more than they do clean water.

Because they can be. People are stupid enough to think that they're genuine about anything. I think they're garbage who should have their assets seized and be put in prison or in front of a firing squad.

They're rich, so they naturaly think they can do anything. I think Tom Cruise should shut up about Scientology, and just frigin' act!
