No. The letters don't stand for "Knights in Satan's Service" I've heard that before and it isn't true. They just dressed scary because it freaked parents out.
And kids love to listen to bands that their parents hate. At least for the past 50 years they do.

I have a 50/50 chance of getting this right so i'll say from what i've seen and heard yes it is a satanic band.

I just think that Gene Simmons is highly motivated to make money any way he can....(New KISS coffee shop) and a great way back then was to try something that had never been done before. It worked. Greatly, I might add. 30 years and counting. Bet you can't name more than five or six bands as successful as KISS.

Like other's have said, they jus dress like that to get attention and freak parents out. Practically every glam rockstar had some kind of alter-ego - whether it be Ziggy Stardust or Zinc Alloy!

no sir they are not they are based on comic book type heroes and they wanted to be 4 alice coopers and wanted to be able to be seen from the back of the venues that they play in
