Sorry, that is incorrect. Hotmail provides both a free and a pay service. There are not plans to drop either.

I got a stupid chain mail about that but I deleted it. Hotmail has been free like Yahoo! and SBC Global so why should it suddenly cost you to have an account? It's dumb and not true. If they suddenly start charging me or anyone else without notification straight to my inbox I'l file a complaint with the state Attorney General's office. Plus, living in CT, I'll have Richard Blumenthal to back me up on this. You've probably seen him on the news as much as anyone else.
