I think it's part of the feminist movements, trying to convince everyone that being knocked up and owning your sexaulity is beautiful, and all that crap. I agree with you, it's definitly not flattering.

I guess they are really proud of carrying a baby in their bellies! It is kinda exciting I guess, cuz my mom is always so happy (she's pregnant!) They like showing it off, and I don't exactly know why, but some people are self-consious at first, because their bellies are getting bigger, but you can't tell that it is a baby yet, so people think they are putting on weight. So when you wear tighter clothes, they can tell that that isn't just normal fat they are putting on! =)

do you have any children? I thought the same way until i got pregant. Being pregnant and having a baby changes the way you look and feel and to some people, it is cute and even sexy to show off your belly...its still your body. Women show off their breast and butts all the time...THAT AINT CUTE cause' everybody doesnt have the body for that but a belly for a pregnant woman is adorable!

I don't show skin.
But I do prefer to wear a tighter shirt.
Personally I find it to looks better and actually more slimming when I wear a tighter shirt opposed to a lose one.
I find when I wear a lose t-shirt it makes me look bigger then I am.
I'm 33 weeks prego and still have a waist.
Why should I hide it?
You should have put this in the pregnancy section...

Women should be proud of their ability to create life. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. Unless you're severely overweight. Then you shouldn't be showing your belly, pregnant or not.

Pregnancy is a beatiful time in a womans life why not show it off? I had my lastchild 6 years ago and I wish they had the clothes then that they do know
