yep, don't bother with that! You don't need to totally cover up in Marrakech. We liveI out here now, in the medina, and as long as you don't wear short shorts or skirts/tight clothing you will be fine!
If you still feel you need to buy some cover-up clothing, just hit the souk, day one, and buy what you need!

It depends on where you are going in Morocco. If you are travelling to some of the larger cities like Rabat and Casablanca and you are not of Arab origin, you may just look like a tourist dressed in the native garb.

If you are heading south where customs are more strict and women don't have the social freedoms we have here in the United States then it might be a good idea to cover up (and the fact that Marrakech averages 101° in the summertime!)

However; you DO NOT want to buy merchandise over the internet including jellabas. You will pay 10X the amount of what you will find when you get to Morocco.

Although the United States and Morocco signed a free-trade agreement (lifting 98% of tarriffs), export costs and the mystique of Morocco allow people to get outrageous prices for their wares (even on sites like Overstock.com where you can occasionally find "deals").

If you are travelling to Marrakech or Fez, you will find the people actually making the wares themselves and with bartering (it is EXPECTED that you barter with merchants), you can get wares at an unbelievable rate. Even in the cities you can still find them at a much lower price.

Good Luck and Happy Travels.

Don't bother with websites where you pay through your nose. When you get there, buy what you need at the local markets.
It will be original and authentic, and you will pay a fraction of the price the website would charge. You also support the local economy.

You don't need to wear a djellaba: only low-class people in low'class neighborhoods do.. but here are some sites:
