It comes from lint from your shirts, pants, and underwear. Then you sweat. Add the fact that little air/oxygen passes through that area, since it's usually covered up or else you're sitting, squishing the space closed. So, what you've got is an area prone to bacteria growth. You should clean it out with a Q-tip, because if left there too long, it possibly could get infected. Not likely, but it has happened.

Yeah its fibers from your cloths. The color I heard is due to the fibers reaction to your sweat. I clean it out when it starts piling up.
