Depends on the recording.

You can google search the name of the album (name and year) and the artist.

Just because it's a vinyl record doesn't make it automatically valuable.

It's the artist, recording, age, was it a limited pressing, and quality of the recording that matters the most.

try www.musicstack.com. it is really a place for buying vinyl, but it will give you an idea of what price people are buying it for and because it is used exclusively for selling hard to find vinyl and cds, it is more accurate than ebay.

I could tell you if I knew what it was...

first, ask yourself if it is really still playable....
second, ask yourself if you would frame the cover.

if it fails one of these two tests it's probably not worth but 50 cents or a dollar... take them to half price books.
