I think they have a right to their opinion esp if it's their own house. The guy has to live with everyday. (If your just dating) but if your married give it up guys your pretty much screwed.

Yes it is but also it can be a guys job if they want to have their own ideas too both can do it together but if he has a problem with you doing it period then that is strange men normally do not care about a woman decorating the home of course unless she is emptying the bank account!

thats cool cause keeping up the house should be both peoples job not just the wife
