This is a moral question, so the answer depends on your own morality. It is a yes or no question, but most people have an explanation for that yes or no. If you are honestly asking, then I hope you choose as best answer the one that fits your own morality best. If you are asking to see who agrees or disagrees with you, then you truly are 'heartless' and your life is worth less.

Every human life is represented by a soul, and every soul has equal value before God, though obviously not before man - how many wars are there on this world? However, each human life is also represented by a lifestyle defined/informed by that person's choices and values (or those of the people in charge of that person's life: parents, government, culture, etc.).
~~~
So what a person does with his life is his choice, but what he does with the life of another (esp. if he takes life or lives), has moral value - right or wrong. Your freedom of choice ends where the next person's begins - if they overlap, great; if you infringe the next person's freedom, not great.
~~~
If your Q implies that human life has intrinsic value, then I have to answer yes. If you're referring to value as in, a murderer's life has less value than that of Mother Teresa, than no (to yourQ, so the last clause is true and valid, for those whose grasp of English is subpar).
~~~
So it's a paradox that the murderer's life (his/her soul) has equal value to that of Mother Teresa (or your favorite "good guy") since they are both human. Yet it is perfectly right and good to take the life of the murderer as punishment for his/her crime, not because that soul/life has less value, but because of the value of the life the murderer took.
Sorry to have gotten so deep and philosophical - not, it was fun!
Yes for others, but for myself I feel if little children were endangered I would put my life at risk. But yes if I think logically and not emotionally it would seem that human life would have equal value. Although if someone killed somebody I would feel their life is not equal to someone who did not. This is just how I feel. If I thought about for a long time I might feel differently.
yes. but in the real world, we much prefer to feel superior to others. I need to value myself higher, so that means you can't be as valuable as I am. Tough noogies.
