This is a good question! Because people fall in love for a variety of reasons, but we can't make anyone love us. So working at all to win someone's love is pointless. But working hard to maintain love, or, more appropriately, a relationship, is important to sustaining a relationship because everything that we love takes care and feeding to flourish.

It seems that way because it IS that way! WRONG. Which also apply's to keeping it. Love comes naturally and remains naturally, if one needs to work for it or to keep it OR to give it, its not love or the right type of love which fits the circumstances.

How is it possible for a human being to "LOVE" anything at all at one point then NOT at another???? Once love is present and its true its permanent!

Perhaps you're confusing one type of love with another in relation to what its/whom being applied to??? Would you choose a 4x4 to run in a formula 1 race??? no, nor would you use a race car to have fun on the beach! Both examples can be "love"...... What's its meaning and worth for all concerned and what's the end result?

I think working to win someones love fromt he start will make for a better realtionship because you DO have to keep working thru a lifetime, and if you didnt start by working for it, you may take it for granted and before its too late the relationship ends because you think it is wrong to work at winning or keeping love alive. You feel you didnt have to work to win love, why should you start now?
Love may come naturally in most cases, but it does not just stay naturally.
Love looses its luster over time and it is work, for some harder than others, but all couples do have to work at it to keep love healthy. Or you can accept that love waxes and wanes, and not work at it - if you both find that acceptable.
High maintenance people will expect thier partner to work at making love exciting all their life.

I see nothing wrong with working hard to win another's love. In fact, it is necessary to earn the love and respect of another. It is equally importand to work at keeping that love once you have earned it. It is a lot like trust, you have to earn it and the work to make sure you never betray it.

I don't think anybody wants a person who works too hard to get the love. You shouldn't have to work to get love it's like a gift you recieve not something you have to work for. However, once you have it you gotta want to keep it so you are willing to work for it if necessary.

i think it's because love come's from free will, and to work @ trying to win it in some eye's, it's seen as minipulation, but once someone love's you willingly from free choice then it's woth working @ it to make it work. As this is and should be unconditional love HURRY FOR THAT

If you have to work hard to get and keep love, then it's not worth it.

Love is what powers the human culture. Without love the world would be in turmoil.

that is a good question, but I think that if Love was there in the beginning then it should be easy to keep. Because Love (real love...not a crush) is unfailing.
