I once saw an opussum dead on the road, but the wierd thing was that he had a little tiny fireman's hat. I think he might have come from the land of Narnia or something where animals have jobs. He might have died from fighting a fire. It was wierd.

OH, OH, You found my little peter possum!! Oh no!!he has expired. Just when things were starting to look up for us. We had some rough times for sure, but hey, who doesnt? We had planned to go to tahiti next month to score some chicks and all. It was gonna be awesome. Damn it all!!!!!!!!Why??!! WHY??!! Such a brilliant young marsupial, he was a brain surgeon you know. What a terrible waste of a prehensile tail. He did things with his tail that would make the ladies scream with ecstasy. He used to keep me up all night with his antics. I remember one time he scored this fifteen yr old........oh, Im not supposed to tell that one huh. OOPS

It may have been a pet oppossum that wandered away...and his owners might have put a hat on him.
Or the person who hit him (or someone who drove by) had a sick sense of humor and wanted to put a hat on him.
