What is the deal with Truth, Justice, and The American Way?

being changed to Truth, Justice, and All That Stuff.....in the new Superman movie..........have we gone overboard with this politically correct thing? If we can't mention our country's name then I think it has....what do you think?

BOYCOTT the new Superman. It's anti-American. They've removed all reference (and reverence) to America in an attempt to pander to terrorists so the movie maker can get the almighty terrorist dollar.

PC is turning this country into oatmeal. We're all mushy and flavorless now. Superman has been around for like 60 years. Suddenly he can't be pro-America? B.S.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I assume they said it because the character didn't really care about those things, so in effect they said it because it was expected of them to say it, not because it meant anything to them. Kind of like how Nicole Kidman said in "To Die For," "It's great to live in a country where life, liberty... and all the rest still mean something!" Especially with times being like they are, nationalism and civic pride are pretty high, and an American movie would most likely tout the principles of truth, justice and the American way as ideals, unless the character did not represent those things.

Perhaps Superman has evolved into an international super hero.
In the new movie I noticed that the focus of truth and justice was that of his own planet krypton and that he had come to a fallen world with the potential to be a good and great people.
