You had better share this information with your doctor. If that doctor is not concerned, get a second opinion. Being pregnant and giving birth is not as easy as people pretend like it is. Lot's of things can go wrong. I am not trying to scare you, just be aware. I almost died and so did my son, and it could have been prevented in the third trimester. Just have it checked out. TWICE!!

it could be... but chances are it's not. toward the end of pregnancy everything is uncomfortable. back sleeping is not recommended because of pressure on the sciatic nerve and the main vein/artery that goes down the back of your hip/pelvic area causing pain, and, or improper blood flow. front sleeping is not recommended for obvious reasons. side sleeping is probably your best bet, if it hurts your belly, it probably just needs to be supported with a pillow. i can not tell you how much relief from everything you said above i got from a big long body pillow. you can hug the top, slide the middle under your belly, while you throw your leg over the bottom. as for shortness of breath.. that just happens toward the third trimester as your baby grows your lungs don't have as much room to expand when you inhale. as soon as he/she is out your breathing will return to normal.

Definitely talk to your Dr but a lot of times when you are that far along, you may have to sleep sitting up in a chair or something. I had to do that a few times...Good Luck!!

sleep on your side and use pillows underneath the belly and between your legs to support your lower back.

a body pillow is also a simple way to achieve the same support while you sleep.

best of luck to you - you're almost there!

Yes, not being able to sleep on your bad because of being unable to breathe is a health concern and should be mentioned to your doctor soon.

Try sleeping in a recliner. You can get it to go back just a little. I slept in one for months and months when I was pregnant and it was very comfortable.
