Its is supposed to rain this weekend. We were going camping, but I would like to have an alternate plan just incase we cant go camping.

You could go to Frankenmuth. This week-end is the Volkslaufe. The race is on the 4th, fireworks on the 3rd.
Bay City has their fireworks for three days.
The casino was a good suggestion.
Birch Run Outlet Mall for shopping.
Tawas... beautiful area
Drive up the shoreline of Lake Michigan... beautiful

I live in Mt. Pleasant. You're more likely to get ripped at Soaring Eagle than win. The odds are horrible there.
You might want to visit the Tridge in Midland. It's cool looking, and it's a nice park just off M-20 coming into MIdland. There's the Pere Marquette trail from Midland to Clare that you can walk, too.
You can visit the campus of CMU or Alma College. Othere than that, there's not a whole lot up here touristy. Further north there is, and further south, but not here. There's a culteral center near the Soaring Eagle with Indian stuff in it. It's Ziibiwig, I think, but I might not have spelled it correctly.

Frankenmuth is so fun. They have a world famous chicken resturant. You could try Chybougane. There is so much to do there. You could go to Makinac City/Island. There is so much to do do there. You could also go over west to Michigans Adventure. It is a them park and a water park. You could also look at Great Wolf Loge it is a great indoor water park. There is one in MI but I'm not sure where.

I wouldn't go to the Soaring Eagle Casino unless there is a good concert in town, you could go to Frankenmuth, that is always great fun, with lots of great food and great shopping, plus they have a waterpark. Otherwise in the Mt.Pleasant area there isn't much to do if your a tourist.......

You might consider going to the Soaring Eagle casino in Mt. Pleasant... we won $100 on Wheel of Fortune. Also, they have really good roast beef sandwiches.

Eat at Clear Lake bar... all in West Branch
