i am now dealing with what so called free boundary value problem. my problem is about how to model the production of fiber glass. i use navier stokes equations and IVP of ODE to model the change of the boundary. to simplify the computation i use semi discretization method to reduce PDE problems of NS eq. into ODE. And this problem becomes BVP of ODE where the one boundary is depending on time. I try to use bvp4c in Matlab to solve the problem. but somehow in computation i found out error messg saying that Matlab is Unable to solve the collocation equations -- a singular Jacobian encountered ...
any suggestion for that? ...

Can't you find that in Mat lab help manual. If not you need to elaborate what you are looking.
