Unless you plan on using "vanity" publishing, wherein you pay out of your own pocket to have your work published, then you are going to need an agent to represent you and your manuscript to book publishing companies. Otherwise, your work will wind up in the "slush pile" where the millions of other unsolicited manuscripts wind up...some houses have lackeys that slog through countless pages of turgid prose. Other publishing houses simply let their piles reach a certain size and then voila! throw the whole mess out unread. A good agent has good connections and can give your manuscript a leg up. Of course, getting an agent, particularly if you've never published before, can be quite difficult.

go to iuniverse.com and publish it yourself. cheap and fast and you can still make money off of selling it if it is popular.

otherwise you need an agent or submit it to publishers one by one waiting for them to approve.

i recommend self-publish.
