Are you directing this question toward men who crossdress?

Just wondering, because a woman only dresses in women's clothes.

I imagine that a man who wears women's clothes is engaging in fantasy role play feminine imagery which is heightened by a latent desire to identify with a deeper feminine/womanhood "experience".

I think we all know that being a woman is more than just playing dress-up and wearing makeup and high heels. So for a male cross dresser it's more fantasy escapism, not necessarily with intention of the dresser to "become a woman".

We also know you can put a "mens" tailored pant suit on a woman, but she's still genetically a woman wearing a tailored suit. Same with a man who's cross dressing. Doesn't make the man less of a man for cross dressing, nor does the woman wearing the suit want to swap genders to become a man.

What someone wears is sometimes like a mask, a "role". I know I feel stronger inside when I wear my tailored pant suits to work. That strength comes from knowing that i'm wearing a costume that is "traditionally" a male vestiment. I imagine it's the same for a male who cross dresses wearing hosiery and lacy women's items. It gives you the feeling of enrobing yourself with the energy or essence of the counterpart you have an affinity for.

It's as simple as that.

As a woman, I am, by nature, required to wear women's clothes every day. The underpants are fine, but the bra's leave much to be desired. The jeans are perfect, and as to shirts, I wear a little of both (men's and women's).
