this year? not a chance. In the future maybe

No - this year's team reminds me of those losing teams of the 1980's - bad. No bullpen to speak of and the hitters just stand there with the bat on the shoulder, watch the ball go by and say "what was that thing?" As long as the team is owned by those (insert your favorite profanities here) from Time -Warner, the team will find it hard to relive the good old days of just a few years ago. I know he says he's not interested, but I wish Ted Turner would buy back the team - he wasn't afraid to spend money to put a winning team on the field. Letting Leo Mazzone go to Baltimore didn't help with the pitching either. Its a case of "how the mighty have fallen" and it's sad to see.

Not this year. They have to jump over 5 teams just to get to first in their division and with the pitching staff they have and all the injuries they have had there's no chance they will be able to catch the Mets and there are teams that are better than the Braves which means the wildcard is out of the question.

There will be a year where the Atlanta Braves will win the World Series...but it is not this year...

But hey, unlike most fair weather Brave Fans, you still have some guts for asking the question.

Probably, but certainly NOT in 2006. This is a down year for the Braves who have blown more late inning leads than any other club I can ever remember! Next year they will be better, especially if they go out and get some solid relief pitching!!

I hope you agree.

Not a snowball's chance in hades. I hate to say that because they are my favorite team. I was just thrilled they beat the Yankees the other night, but then the next night the Yanks beat my Braves. If they win the Division this year, it will be a miracle. Ho Hum!!

Ya not a chance
If I was the Braves I would trade Smoltz and Chipper Jones and just rebuild

They have to make the playoffs first and since they aren't going to do that they won't win the World Series either.

Sorry, but even their run of consecutive division titles will end this year, probably by about August 15 when they're mathematically eliminated.
