I recently started doing magic (like david blaine) for kids parties. I have done six so far, and no one is impressed, and tips are lousy.
The first party, I stood on one foot for 3 hours, and the kids were board to death. Then, I stayed underwater with a garden hose to breath for the whole 4 hour party. Once again, no takers. Why dont the kids like my magic, when I am bringing Blaine to their houses?

They are kids while doing some of those things are cool to adults they've got u beat. My son climbed on to the dresser,on top of the TV and jumped off! Besides which the average child's attention Span is 15 min. I would be board after 2 min of u standing on one foot. Your just aiming the act at too young of a crowd! Make some balloons and paint some faces and they'll keep interest if u keep changing things up1

Sorry but that's not really magical kids like to see stuff like swelling swords or making stuff appear and disappear.Try doing the levitation act like David Blaine. But what u r doing is stunts physical stunts they don't like it because they may not understand how hard it is. So try making stuff appear and disappear that mitt work.

Alot goes to the age of the children, my 3 year old would be bored out of his mind and so would my 11 yr old, but my 7 year old would probably find you entertaining, maybe try a diffrent age group, or maybe a new location, try wearing either A. a skimppy little outfit for older kids, or a clown suit for younger, have fun and good luck.

The kids don't like you because you suck, but if it's any consolation I think you're funny.
Oh, and if you really want to do this right try putting pirana in the tank or stand on one foot in a bowl of steaming, bubbly hydrochloric acid. Kids always get a kick out of that kind of thing.

I think those tricks are too mature for children. Kids like action, fire, explosions, knives, cutting things... you get the idea. Those blaine style tricks I think are geared toward an older.... smarter, audience that understands the difficulty behind the style.

Sounds like a dull act to me. You have to develope a better act then that to hold kids attention today. They are more into action things these days. Stop imitating others and come up with something to activate the kids thoughts.

Although as adults that's pretty good. And we know what it takes to do something like that. The kids are not impressed they like action and colors, they need a lot going on they don't understand the work it takes to do what you do. Make it more exciting for them. Add color or flares or something to catch and keep their attention.

Maybe those tricks are boring. Kids like action, do some gymnastics or get a band to sing at their parties.

Honestly, I don't know many adults that would like to look at you in a tank for 4 hours. It just isn't that entertaining. Sorry
