This is something to discuss with your husband and your doctor. Some women who get their tubes tied regret it later. Others think it was the best thing they have ever done.

Speaking from the perspective as a mommy who lost her baby, I can't imagine ever getting my tubes tied myself...I have now been in contact with too many women who regretted it when the worst happened. However, when your baby arrives healthy and happy, you may decide that your family is complete. By all means, go for it. If you are concerned about changing your mind later, talk to your doctor about what the chances are for having the procedure reversed.

Good luck with your baby! I wish you all the best! :)

It is totally up to you. Your choices count. What others think, is not important.

We're talking about human rights here. You have the right to found a family (article 16 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, also, you have the right to undergo sterilization (article 20 of General Comment 28: Equality of rights between men and women).

You can't afford to get pregnant again, then again, if you want to undergo sterilization, see a doctor and request a tubal. It's a human right. If the doc doesn't want to cooperate, threaten to take him to court for the violation of your human rights. That's how I got my tubes tied at a very young age. I never wanted children, I just want human rights to be respected.

So, this is all I can offer you... Make a choice that suits you the best and not a choice that suits society the best. Norms in society are ALWAYS based on fear. Do what YOU believe is good for you!

And your question is NOT dumb. Amanda, there is no such as dumb questions. Only dumb answers.

I feel the same way that is why I had mine done after I had my fourth child. Depending on how old you are you might not be able to. I tried to get mines tied after I had mine first child (boy), but I was told that I was not old enough ( I was 15) and I was told that I had to have three children first. Please make sure that that is what you want to do. I thought I did then I met my husband I had my last child when I was 24. I did get them tied after I had my daughter because I know for sure that I didn't want anymore children ( I know have 4 children). How about other birth control methods until you know for sure. Don't deny your spouse ( if you are still together) or yourself the joys of parenthood. Remember things change over time.

well your lucky. iv been married over a year and i still cant get no kid to pop out. darn.
how old are you?
how many kids do you have?
i am not that crazy with this idea a lot of you women have. about tieing your tubes.
you might have some problems with your period later on. you might becom really moody and cranky. but then again i dont know what really happends if your tubes are tied. do you still have a period?
anyways, id say no. just watch your calander. count 14 days after you start your period and whatever day it lands on that is your fertle day. so dont have sex then or around that day.
but please dont tie any tubes inside of you. you know what happens when you close up one tube, liquid will exit out from someother opening. yikes. okay ill end here. bye

Getting your tubes tied is a big deal. It is better for the man to get a vasectomy. Faster healing time and less risk of complication. Also if you don't like bc with hormones you can get a copper IUD inserted that stops the egg and the sperm from meeting. They are good up to 10 yrs at a time.

If you are SURE that you don't want anymore kids, then go ahead. However, if you are not sure, get an IUD. You won't feel it and it will last for a few years before having to be replaced. At least that should give you a while before you make a non-reversible decision about it all! Have a great day.

She did no longer ask on your opinion on no rely if it replaced right into a reliable thought or no longer human beings, so keep it to your self. they have needless to say stated this between themselves and characteristic desperate they could desire to conceive certainly as unfavourable to adoption first. If that would not ensue i'm particular they're going to evaluate different strategies later. 40 two isn't too previous due in existence to be having young toddlers! that's something you're able to be able to desire to discover with a fertility expert or somebody who bargains in reversals. Goodluck, i'm hoping you get the effect you're searching for!

i'm very fertile too.!!! But anyway, You have to ask yourself 1. Are u married? because if you're not u might get married fall in love, and want to have his baby. Then if you are u have to see how he feels, and wat ya'll should do. Not to mistake anything it's your body, u know wat u can handle. But i dont think u should, u might change u'r mind and reversing that is very hard. My mother did, and instead of tying them the took everything out, she was heart broke for yrs after she remarried, and tried 2 attempts of IVF and couldn't concieve. So do more research. or Try the IUD that got one that last 4 10yrs and 5yrs and immedaitely reversable. I HOPE THIS HELP
