No. It is facing some law suits but I don't think the site would shut down because of them.

It is the user's responsibility not to put up personal information. Myspace offers ways to protect it's users, and what you see on the news is only a result of parents not monitoring what their children do online.

No, they now have government regulations and restrictions so that no one who is older than 18 can ask a minor to be added to their friend. The minor must ask. This does not, however, stop minor's from lying about their age.

It's not Myspace that's the problem, it's people. Stupid, irresponsible, PEOPLE!
