Crested Butte , Colorado. I'm going there in a week. Quiet town surrounded by mountains and lakes.

Not Durango or Silverton they are real tourist towns and crowded in the summer. There are a lot of events going on in the summer even some of the small town get crowded and hotel/motels are booked.
If you want quiet and a unique honeymoon rent an RV and pick some of the small towns with out hotels.
We have properties in a number of states in the west also Hawaii so we travel a lot and when we want peace and quiet great views and hiking we take our RV and find small out of the way places. That is my suggestion. Good luck.

I live in Craig, Colorado. It depends if you want quiet I would suggest Durango, Craig, Teluride. If you want beautiful scenery with mountains but a little crowded I would say the ski resorts Breckenridge, Aspan, Steamboat Springs. To answer some questions about South Park, it's actually called Winter Park and the TV show is based out of it. Esteste Park, the movie 'THE SHINING" was filmed there and the hotel really is there

Estes Park. it really is a very lovable little city, and by no skill too faraway from Denver. Rocky Mountain nationwide Park is likewise in Estes Park, that's an outstanding section to envision out... a good number of elk and different organic world to computer screen, paved roads which makes an staggering scenicpersistent, a good number of tremendous picnicing aspects...

Alex F. is right, Breckenridge is a good place to go. My sister lives in a small town named Frisco near it. She's able to go hiking and spend time in the woods everyday.
Pretty much the higher you go in the mountains to smaller the towns will become.

Dinosaur, CO
Hot Sulfur Springs, CO
Steamboat Springs, CO

Hot Sulphur Springs is pretty cool...if I remember correctly it is an old mining town with (get this) hot sulphur springs. I was there in July 1994 and the 5:30am temperature was 29 degrees.

Good luck!

Glen Haven. Close to Estes Park (which is busy), very rural, one lodging establishment. You can run to town for things to do, or go on to Rocky Mountain National Park for GREAT hiking.

south park... like where the tv show is based... is a place in colorado. I don't know if the place actually exists though, but if it does, maybe you could go. I hear the show is based on a real town in colorado so good luck!
