x= price of adult ticket
y=price of student ticket

320x + 153y = 949.50
x = y+.75

320(y+.75) + 153y = 949.50
320y + 240 + 153y = 949.50
473y + 240 = 949.50
473y = 709.50
y = 1.5
x = 2.25

I haven't done algebra in 7 years, but I got beat by Ralphy Wiggum...how embarrasing!

320 X + (320 * 0.75) + 153 X = 949.50
320 X + (240.00) + 153 X = 949.50
320 X + 153 X = 709.50
473 X = 709.50
X = $1.50 student tickes
X + .75 = $2.25 adult ticket

I can help you out with this one

total money = 949.50
student tickets = s
adult tickets = a
adult tickets = student tickets + .75
a = s +.75
s = a - .75

320a + 153s = 949.5
320a + 153(a - .75) = 949.5
320a +153a - 114.75 = 949.5
473a = 1064.25
a = $2.25
s = $1.5

S = price of student ticket
A = price of adult ticket

A = S + .75

320*A + 153*S = 949.50
320*(S + .75) + 153*S = 949.50
320*S + 240 + 153*S = 949.50
473*S = 709.50

S = 1.50
A = S + .75 = 2.25

320a + 153s = 949.50
a = s+.75
320(s+.75)+ 153s = 949.50
473s + 240 = 949.50
473s = 709.50
s = 1.50
a = 2.25

320x + 153y = 949.50
y = x + .75

320(y + .75) + 153y = 949.50
320x + 240 + 153x = 949.50
473x + 240 = 949.50
473x = 709.5
x = 1.5

y = x + .75
y = 1.5 + .75
y = 2.25

Adult : $2.25
Student : $1.50
