Get a job make your own money and go where YOU want. Let your mom know you love her and are grateful but it's time for you to stand on your own and be a man :)

Good luck nene

You've already graduated and you haven't received at this time a scholarship so - I would stay where you're at - with your mom - go to the community college down the street and take college transfer courses and transfer to a major college at the appropriate time. As you get older, you will realize that if YOU want something out of life - YOU will have to take the steps to obtain it. Life will not automatically just drop it in your lap (odds are against it). Your mom as gotten you this far in life - don't run off to your dads just because you want to get away from your mom. Visit your dad if you need to - but, please keep your mind on college and getting an education. Sounds like your mom wants you to get your education too - and that's important for a young man these days. Take your time and don't rush things. Make wise decisions and choices.

The biggest advice we can all give you is that it is your life. You parents of course want to protect you and keep you safe but in reality the only way you can ever be completely happy is to take chances and go after your dreams. Yeah if you stay at home with your mom you will get to stay in a world that is safe for you, but are you going to be completely happy or wonder what would happen if you had gotten the scholarship and gone and played ball? Would you be a famous bball player would you have found the love of your life at college? the possiblities are endless. Go for what you want so that you dont look back later and say what if?

You should do what ever feels right. Don't let others (even your family) make desicions for you. If you feel that getting a scholarship and going to Santa Monica is better than the community college, let your mom know that. It really seems like you want to get away from your town also. It's good to experience life outside of your comfort zone.

You should do what you want to do!!!! I know that she is your mother and I don't know about the relationship between you too, but no matter what don't let her control you. Tell her that you have to go out there and live your life and that you are going to make her proud of you no matter what. I am a mother too and trust me, moms don't want to think about their children growing up and leaving so your mom is probably just having a hard time thinking about you leaving. Just do what you have to do and in time she will get used to the idea. If you have goals and dreams ( that are attainable) let no one stop you.

NO go and live with your dad, you'd rather regret doing it than not doing it right? Always living in wonder of what might happen. That's not what you want dude. Just go for it!!
