do YOU know what Santorum IS?

Richard John Santorum (born May 10, 1958), commonly known as Rick Santorum, is an Italian American politician from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the United States. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1990 from a suburban Pittsburgh district and to the U.S. Senate in 1994. Santorum is a Republican and is chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, the number-three job in the party leadership of the Senate. As Conference Chairman, Santorum directs the communications operations of Senate Republicans and is a frequent party spokesperson. He is the youngest member of the Senate leadership and the first Pennsylvanian to hold such a prominent position since Senator Hugh Scott was Republican leader in the 1970s. In addition, Santorum serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee; the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; the Senate Special Committee on Aging; and the Senate Finance Committee, of which he is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Social Security and Family Policy.

Santorum is well known for his conservative social and fiscal stances, and some have described him as the Senate's most outspoken Christian fundamentalist, although he is Catholic. In recent years, some of Santorum's comments and public statements, particularly on homosexuality and sexual privacy rights, have been controversial. He has also been criticized for his stance on Social Security, intelligent design, and the Terri Schiavo case.

He is running for re-election in the 2006 U.S. Senate election. Rasmussen Reports calls him the "most vulnerable congressional incumbent this election season," citing the unpopularity of the President and the emerging candidacy of Bob Casey, Jr., the son of the former Pennsylvania governor, as reasons for his drop in polls. Santorum is a strong conservative in a swing state that has voted for the Democrats in Presidential elections since 1988 although the past two elections have been close. Personally, I hope he gets reelected but the polls are showing him as way behind Casey.

In June, 2006, Sen. Santorum declared that weapons of mass destruction (WMD) had been found in Iraq, a statement not echoed by the Pentagon and the Executive Office of the President. The specific weapons he referred to were chemical munitions buried in the early 1990's that have since degraded and pose little serious threat to personnel.

There are no obvious reasons for your statement above about bestiality.

I know who he is. I even voted for him.

He is a good guy and yes he is the one that went on Fox News with the WMD story. Which by the way...even if they did date back to pre-1991 as they say Saddam said he destroyed all of his WMDs and obviously that was a lie. So what would make you think that he didn't have others? Also, they claim that the weapons are so old they aren't any good. Well how about we use one as a door stopper at your house and you tell us if they are any good?

And fox news didn't laugh at him that loser Alan Colmes was TRYING to give him a hard time.
