I believe the are true only in that they help you to discover things about yourself. A horoscope doesn't tell you anything you don't already know, it simply brings to your attention how you are feeling about a certain day. Some horoscopes I react like "Wow that is absolutely right. Today I was really upset. They suggest a bubble bath. That sounds like a great idea." Other days I would think "Nope today was pretty good. A bubble bath would be great touch to the perfect day."

Note: A bubble bath is always the right way to end a day.

So it is really being in tune with yourself, not someone predicting your future.

They are not all false and people want to have something to believe in. If their having a shitty day and they read there horoscope and its good they tend to have a better day, whether it happens or not.

Some do it for fun, but some people just look for something to guide their life...and sometimes it ends up being true, which makes a lot of people actually continue to believe in horoscopes wholeheartedly...

Believe is a strong word when it comes to horoscopes. Did you ever notice that they tend to be very open ended? People put their own spin on advice that has to deal with general personality types. Besides, it is entertaining.

Horoscopes are often false, about 40% of the time. Something to keep in mind is that the "horridscope" that one reads in the paper is generalized for all people who have that zodiac sign. It does not take into account your rising sign. or where the planets are at your birth.
ASTROLOGY, however, is very true and is as dead on accurate as a DNA test for paternity. A true horoscope is achieved by submitting your birth time and place to a quailified astrologer and waiting for their report. Their report will tell you everything that you ever wanted to know, and then some, about yourself. That type of report takes into account which planets are in which house and the effect that the combination that is yours has on your day to day life style and life choices. For example, almost all Scorpios share a comomon trait of expressive eyebrows at birth. Some Scorpios will learn the poker face technique, but almost all were born with the same expressive characteristic. The other thing about the horridscope that you read in the paper is that it almost never tells you the bad side of things. It doesn't tell you that most people with digestive upset have a Cancer sign figured high in priority in their charts, someone with knee injury will have a Capricorn prominent chart, that sort of stuff. The more that you research astrology with or without an open mind, you will discover the startling truth of the zodiac and its effect on people. I started resarching it to debunk the "theory" and converted to ther truth of understanding instead.

As for you RuneWitch, you are an embarrasment to my Wicca. your judgement is not in the spirit of white witchcraft, You will be unsucessful in your charms and spells without having a more open view of the world. Your judgemental ways will be your downfall. If you are a dark witch, you are going to self distruct due to your lack of knowledge about the divination tools at your disposal, and your unwillingness to learn and use them. I am too sad for your future to mock you back. My heart is troubled for you and your lack of purpose and focus in your spiritual journey. With that type of attitude, you are doomed to wander and be lost. What a shame. astrology and horoscopes have been around pretty much since the begining of time itself. there IS a reason for that! to completely dismiss it is no different than saying there is no intelligent life beyond this planet, or the world is flat.

I don't believe in the horoscopes...I just read 'em so I can laugh my butt off at people who think they know what their talking about when they 'read the stars' and some such crap.

but their prediction can be right sometimes
usually when i read my sign and what they wrote
it usually comes true
soo maybe its a concidence but yes people probably believe in them because its passed on from their ancestors or something like that

Physics tells us if we know one point in time and space, we can know any point. One just needs that frame of reference. The birth time is that one point. Mathematically it is exact. When the human intellect gets involved, the interpretation may not be correct. The answer is "know thyself".
