I have been reading The dirty Thirties by William H. Hull and it made me wonder why we dont live simpler. It is much cheaper and everyone seemed to be much more friendly. The way of living was cheaper, and people got up and worked for what they want. I think if we went back to how we did things int he past, peoplle wouldnt be so fat. Please let me know your thoughts on this, and how we could change, or what would be different. Just an open question on what you think.... thanks!

I completely agree with you. However, I don't see it happening. Technology has turned society into a bunch of lazy sloths.
IF we could go back to that, things would be cheaper, obesity wouldn't be such an issue, and we could probably lessen pollution quite a bit. But people are too lazy and set in their ways to think about the greater good. Hell, most people don't even recycle because it's too 'time consuming'. It's a sad place we live in.

no phones, no lights, no motor cars not a single luxary, like Robinson Curuso as primative as can be. time were not cheaper then factor in inflation. you are basing things on prices then $2 dollars was a lot of money back then. And not to mention the depression that saw people jumping out of windows killing themselves because of bad investments.

Sure credits, state help on delays of payment, and low interests came to aid on higher income and attention of population besides capitalism and communal activities as funds and corkies.
Now it is hard to move on with no credits allowed certain months and zero help from others, who will still claim they work for us and get to aid povert population. Murk and lust are not permitted now, while trash and lies are made assorted for fun and distraction. No more care is provided to farm banks and the common venture is to give some to enrichen on their lands which are to become bank properties, instead of middle class with no further payments to these discredited loafers who were certainly not hired by us or our parents, who ever gave them permission to destroy our cities and take our money away from us? that is to change not for is not covered by press, who certainly addore the idea of anarchy and disdain as king and queen of the country, that is better to some than smart and prepared people (not helped profesionals) to run if any the land of our ancestors. Sure it is given the true owners care not for delayed crime, for it is obvious land is still ours.
There is the subject of living as in those days, they sure had trouble raising their children yet did it on their own, with no grannies running for health and mental aid. Cars were more expensive then yet were too paid, mostly in cash, so poverty is not growing neither rich population, stagnant activities were dismantled then on bank loss to safe keep population activities with less love for book keepers and robbers. Law is to be served, stinters are to be expelled from society. Sure care none of this chatter last. Bye.
