I do this all the time, and have yet to find anything that won't record.

A dvd recorder archives to a dvd disc corresponding to those that video clips come on. A dvr archives to a demanding pressure corresponding to the demanding pressure in a computing gadget--no discs or tapes are needed to record courses. usually, they could carry thousands of hours of programming reckoning on how huge the demanding pressure is. you could quick ahead at lightning speeds and erase undesirable courses pretty a lot immediately away. between the best issues about dvr is that you'll watch something from the start even as it continues to be recording. Say you record your well known teach even as you're out. You get domicile even as the teach is 0.5 over. you could watch it from the start even as the 2d 0.5 finishes recording. Tivo dvr's require a subscription service to get admission to programming by a telephone line . I actually have a Panasonic dvr that would not require any more desirable prices. It makes use of television practise guide programming this is embedded in maximum cable amenities already.

As long as the DVR doesn't have a program to prevent re-recording something it should work.
