I suggest you write him a letter first. Be very open and sincere and try to show him affection and respect within the words. Let him know that you simply don't have the courage to initially break this to him in person. He is someone that has meant so much to you in the past and though this is painful to him, it is also very, very painful to you also. Then suggest that you meet at public place (maybe dinner) at a time you both can possibly handle the situation with dignity and class. Be strong and firm though...if the break is not clean and final, much more heart burn will follow.

Seeing lonely previous human beings, even as love would not exercising consultation the way it would have, theres a lot that breaks a heart.

after three years there is no easy way.......just look him in the eyes and tell him i dont feel the love in between us anymore i think is time to move on...you dont have to be in a relationship that does not make you happy anymore just get out at first he will be mad and hate you but at the end he is going to have to understand and even appreciate that you got out and gave him the oportunity for him to find love else where..good luck.

Tell him you don't feel it.But never over the phone and never online!Three year relationships or logs ones at all should end on good terms so if you ever see them later you can actually talk instead of mug each other.

You should tell him that the feeling is gone.. That is what I did.. I understand exactly what you are going through... I didnt feel happy or comfortable with him anymore.. I had to tell him that exact thought that I had. He didnt understand why but sometimes you dont have to understand to know it is not working.

Break it off sooner than later. Just tell him/her that you don't see your relationship ending up as a long term one, but that you would still like to be friends.
