You're probably talking about DNS. The cache is a list of stored DNS entries... IP addresses, etc. If you want to purge your cache go to a command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns". That will purge your cache and clean your machine. Or, just wait overnight and do nothing. The TTL (time to live) for most DNS entries is only a few hours. It will purge itself.

if it's internet cache - this is harddisk space that is used by browser for store files like image,script for faster browsing speed
you can delete those by go to
tools->internet option->delete files
